Jo-Ann DeAngelo
Head trainer and owner of IL CANE DOLCE

Jo-Ann has had a special fondness for dogs since childhood. She has had Scotties, Westies, Dalmations, and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers (she is raising her third Chessie) She has a Papillion named Beanie, who is her portable lap-top, accompanying her to the corner store or on vacations. He is always at her side. He is spoiled rotten but just ask Jo-Ann to show off his training and he is a wiz!

Jo-Ann has worked with dogs for twelve years, first apprenticing and then working for other trainers. She opened her school nine years ago and has trained many dogs. Old clients stay touch and make her feel quite popular and loved. Jo-Ann graduated from The University of Pittsburgh in 1982 and has a MFA in Film. Her first love is dogs and what better way to express this than by making other people happy with their canine companions.

She is proud of her job and does her best to make sure each and every client is more than satisfied when leaving her school. She is happiest when people do their homework and when they call her with questions. This shows they are really trying their best to get the most out of the human-canine connection. Pet peeves: people who don't realize their dog's potential, nagging corrections (saying sit fifty times) people who don't realize structure is a good thing for dogs AND people, and finally, anyone who doesn't think her Papillion is cute

Television Credits include: Fox Thing In The Morning, 2 appearances on The Jenny Jones Show and many TV comercials and print ads.
