Testimonials Phil and Kathy Schlenbecker Hi Jo-Ann, Owner Chicago Pet Care Kayle "When I first brought Sebastian to Jo-Ann at Il Cane Dolce he was, in a friends words, "a spaz". Over the previous 18 months he had spent 3 months in day-care following a fire/flood in my loft-condo, gone through a divorce, moved house 3 times, and switched from doggie day-care to staying at home all day with one visit from a dog-walker. He never listened, was very anxious at times, and had issues with other dogs and occasionally people. Since he went through training with Jo-Ann he has been a completely different dog -well-behaved, sociable with people, and generally much happier. I've never seen him wag his tail so much since he was a pup. I was so impressed with the training that I board Sebastian at Il Cane Dolce anytime I go out of town..." James Barrett We adopted Roscoe from a poodle rescue shelter in March 2002. He had a rough beginning being raised in a puppy mill prior to reaching the shelter. We immediately fell in love with his shy demeanor and sweet disposition. After an adjustment period, I tried to teach him some basic commands -sit, stay, heel. It was as if he had a mental block against learning and furthermore, nothing would motivate him. He even became fearful of other dogs and people and would hide behind me. We decided to take him to training, because we consider him a member or our family and we wanted to be able to effectively communicate with him for his safety. We chose Il Cane Dolce because JoAnn guarantees her work, and she had stellar references. I knew that Roscoe would not be an easy project. Roscoe is now like a new dog. He is now receptive to our commands and actually enjoys our teaching sessions. He has more self-confidence and loves to socialize. I compare him to Helen Keller when she had her communication break through. Roscoe now jogs with me every morning, and we always receive compliments on how well behaved he is. We highly recommend Il Cane Dolce for anyone who wants a well-trained, happy dog. Kelly and Drew Karras Dear Jo-Ann Oscar, |
